Comics and cartoons

Hugo Tate by Nick Abadzis was just released last week in the UK & Ireland.

“Then surely,” you cheekily comment “there should have been a review by now”. Ummmm, well, yes, there should have been.

I can give you a short version though – “bloody amazing”. Longer, more thought out review coming soon.

In the interim, you can now, courtesy of Blank Slate Books and Nick Abadzis, get a feel of the mood of the book via a full soundtrack over here on Spotify. Or alternatively, the whole thing can be streamed below. Come on, just look at the first few tracks – cracking. And a great choice of Matt Johnson’s The The on there as well:

And nicely done from Blank Slate repurposing the Hugo Tate print as a record sleeve, complete with its very own BSR01 number. Echoes of Factory Records there.
