The rather excellent Jim Woodring is looking for support to allow him to work on Fran, his follow up to the brilliant artwork that graced his Congress of the Animals – as Jim points out when working on the new book he can’t do his usual approach of keeping body and soul together by working on commissions, some commercial artwork and design and so on and so he’s asking for support to help pay for basics like a roof over his head, food and art supplies while he works on the book. I doubt I am alone in thinking Jim creates some of the most amazing art in the medium and he’s an artist well worthy of support. (via Comic Reporter)
