The annual Dundee Comics Day is approaching rapidly, taking place this coming Sunday, October 28th and a major part of the proceedings this year will be a celebration of Scotland’s own comics writing superstar, Grant Morrison, who has come a long way since starting off working with a bunch of other Indy creators on an anthology produced out of the old Edinburgh Science Fiction Bookshop (which went on to become the Edinburgh Forbidden Planet). Before Grant’s appearance on the Sunday there will be a screening of the documentary film Grant Morrison: Talking With Gods’ at Dundee Contemporary Arts on Friday 26th, and the mighty Dave Gibbons will giving a two hour workshop on using Manga Studio. The other guests on the line-up are pretty impressive too, with Frank Quietly, Peter Doherty, Rian Hughes, Frazer Irving and Cameron Stewart on the roster.
