Bloody hell, it’s all kicking off in Mega-City One for Dredd, and that’s a great Chris Weston cover..

2000AD Prog 1776 is out tomorrow.
And over at Everything Comes Back To 2000AD, they’ve a preview of the Jock cover for the monthly Megazine #322. Presumably that’s out soon…. but frustratingly there’s no sign anywhere on the 2000AD Online site as to when. Basic info surely?
Oh well, still a bloody lovely cover..

I have to ask something someone must know the answer to.
I’ve never been a 200ad reader but recently borrowed vol 10 of the complete Judge Dredd series from my local library to have ago.
All over the cover and inside credits the writers are only listed as
Alan Grant and John Wagner. They even get their own bios in the back but about a third of the whole book is written by some chap credited as
T B Grover.(You only see his name in the small credits within the stories)
So who is this and why has he been completely ignored anywhere else?
Just wondering.

David, TB Grover was one of the alternative nom des plumes used by John Wagner, I believe. Alan Grant at the Edinburgh Book Fest once commented using different pen names was sometimes used in the earlier days so it didn’t look like too many strips came from just a few folks, also I think he hinted it might have something to do with how fees were paid too, someone else may know more about that
