Animation: Paper War

Zhe Zhang’s Paper War is a really clever short animated piece, following to young paper lads, attracted to the luscious paper girl living on the opposite wall, and fighting for the chance to woo her. As one person in the video’s comments noted, the sexual politics may be a bit iffy (although I suspect it was all tongue in cheek, given how cartoony some of it is, notably the jiggling), but the animation itself is terrific – as paper drawing people they can only get to their romantic destination by travelling on connected pieces of paper, and there are some ingenious uses of different types of paper surfaces for the pair to run and fight on (the toilet roll scene is genius):
