Best Cover EVER? – Rob Jackson

The first rule of the Best Cover EVER?? There is no Best Cover EVER?. That’s the fun bit. Means we can choose what the heck we like, and then change out minds the day after.

This weeks suggestion comes from Rob Jackson, maker of many, many fine comics, all with a wonderfully strange sensibility allied with a wonderfully out there sense of humour. Whether it’s fantasy, mythology, horror, interesting anthologies or the best comic you’re probably ever going to read about setting up your very own ice-cream making business…. Rob Jackson has covered it, and covered it so well.

Jimbo no. 4 by Gary Panter

I’m going to go with the cover of ‘Jimbo no. 4′ by Gary Panter. That’s my favourite cover today but I’m sure I’ll find some other ones soon.

Look how great it is, how could you not buy a copy of that if you saw it on a shelf. I really still like the traditional comic style cover like this, with the title at the top, looking nice and trashy. It was hard to decide between the various Jimbo covers but I went with this one because I like the line about the ostriches that Jimbo is yelling.
