Comics: Adam Murphy’s daily comic….

Comics and cartoons, Webcomics

Adam Murphy was a recent Desert Island Comics castaway, where I had but the briefest chance to mention his daily comic, running at his website.

Underneath this are four from January, and do a rather good job of showing off both the simplicity of his style, and the breadth of what he covers. And that’s to say nothing of the sheer determination shown from keeping up such a punishing schedule. I meant to keep an eye on whether the daily comic really was  daily, but to be honest I rather got engrossed in following the minutiae of his life, and my enjoyment won out over the need to keep score. I reckon that says a fair bit about how much I enjoyed this.

Oh, and I thought the guest appearance of James Kochalka in the 4th January episode was both fun and inspired…. Murphy may or may not have been implying either sort of accolade given that Kochalka has recently taken the giant step of curtailing his own daily strip American Elf, or the symbolic passing of the daily strip torch with this as he heads off into the unexplored territory alone, but I like to think he did.

Anyway… Adam Murphy’s daily comic. Worth bookmarking….
