It’s a sure s more confident UK medium that we’re seeing more and more of this sort of thing, with comics cropping up in all sorts of places you might not normally expect them.
This time it’s the Newcastle Science Comic, created for the Newcastle Science Festival in September 2013. Very little detail thus far, merely a twitter feed, and a website with a form for declarations of intent and a call for submissions. Artists involved at this early stage include Terry Wiley, Andrew Waugh, and Cuttlefish Comics (who provided that radioactive pic above).
