Competition: Win Ape Escape DVD

Comics and cartoons, Competitions

Fact: Ape Escape is amazing. First appearing on PlayStation in 14 years ago (let that sink in for a moment), the series of loveable cast of anthropoids have appeared in 14 games of their own as well as guest appearing in others (Snake vs Monkey in Metal Gear Solid 3 being an unforgettable highlight). With a career that any games franchise would be proud of, the apes also have the distinction of being a member of an elite fraternity: games characters that got their very own cartoon.

Produced by the current king of TV (and recently online) animation, Frederator Studios (Adventure Time, The Fairly OddParents, Bravest Warriors, Superf*ckers), we currently have five copies of the complete 19-episode Ape Escape DVD collection up for grabs at the moment!

Specter, the leader of the ape world, was just an ordinary ape at the zoo. That is until a “pipo-helmet,” which was invented by a brilliant, but absent minded, Professor, was accidentally dropped into his cage. When Specter puts the intelligence-boosting helmet on, he is suddenly given the intelligence of a human and even starts to look human.

What is a super intelligent ape to do in a world dominated by people?

Due to a sequence of unfortunate events, Martin is currently trapped in FPI's social media dungeon, unable to escape. From there, he uses an old CB radio to arrange competitions, determine interesting comics news and order takeaway.

Please, for the love of Specter, isn’t it possible for you fellas to send a copy outside the borders of England.
We’re practically neighbours, I can’t help it the sea decided to split us up.

It does go beyond “the borders of England” – Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland the Republic of Ireland :-) Sorry, can’t go further than that, partly to do with licensing and copyright for different countries which makes that kind of thing difficult.
