I bumped into Phil Vaughan from Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design recently and he’s been kind enough to pass on details for an upcoming comics bash in Dundee next month that he and Doctor Chris Murray have been busy organising, the Free Dundee Comics Expo. The event takes place on Saturday 30th of March from 11am to 4pm (so helping fill that gap left by not having Hi-Ex this spring) and will include talks by David Lloyd and Karrie Fransman, a comics mart and various creators sketching and singing, including Gary Erskine and the Team Girl Comics crew and various small press creators selling their wares. Sounds like it will be worth a wee trip across the Tay – they have a Facebook page up here and there’s an event page on FB with more details (expect further updates as time goes on).
