Regular readers will be familiar with London-based Resonance FM, where one of our good chums Alex Fitch hosts his various shows, including a slew which cover the comics world, with a ton of excellent interviews with all sorts of folk from comics, from the self-published to the star names. The station relies on donations to keep going (the presenters and those who work behind the scenes actually making the programmes we enjoy all work as unpaid volunteers for this arts radio station) and they are holding an annual fundraiser to help them keep going and get the odd bit of new equipment.
Alex has donated some of his own collection to the fundraiser, which you can see on eBay, including a Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars edition that David Lloyd has sketched the Hulk in, numerous signed comics (here and here)and a first edition paperback Watchmen UK edition that John Higgins has added a sketch to. Other auction items includ orginal comic art by Roy of the Rovers’ Paul Trevillion and whole bunch of other goodies, both comic and music related, so go and have a look and maybe bid on something (or you can make Paypal donations to the station) to help keep some of the shows we enjoy ticking along – the full list of auction items is here.
