Okay, not really a proper Upcoming where I do the whole preview thing…. but this is what Pope had to say the other day on his Flickr (I saw it on Destroy Comics)
“The plan is for THB to start up the season after BBv.2 arrives in 2014. I have about 10 more months on BBv.2 to go but I work on THB when I can. Quite a bit of it is already done, needs to be scanned, relettered and colored.
There are both color and B&W editions of THB coming. I wanted it in B&W and they wantedit in color and we decided to do both. Hopefully there will be an “absolute” battling boy edition in B&W too, once both books are in print.
For THB, we plan to use very flat, minimal colors as in the original Incal and Blueberry books.”
At last, at last, seems I’ve been wishing for this for so very long …. but this is Pope and it’s THB. I will celebrate long and hard when it arrives. But I wont hold my breath for it anytime in the next 5 years.
However, it does give me an excuse to put up a little Paul Pope art from Destroy Comics as well….
