A reminder to London peeps, the excellent Nick Abdzis has been sent back to these shores for a short while and will be in Gosh in London tomorrow, Saturday May 12th from 7 to 9pm for the launch of the much anticipated new collected edition of his Hugo Tate series by Blank Slate Books.

Yes, those extraordinary gentlemen, Messrs Kevin O’Neill (well known ittinerant artist) and Alan Moore (five times winner of the All-Northampton Mighty Beard Champion), will be returning to London’s fine Gosh Comics emporium of four-colour delights to mark the publication of the third and final part of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century trilogy, with the 2009-set volume coming from Knockabout and Top Shelf. From 2 to 6pm on Saturday 23rd of June Alan and Kev will be allowed out (under adult supervision) for the day, a great chance to grab the latest LOEG and meet two of the finest gentlemen creators working in Blighty today.

Yes, this Saturday is Free Comic Book Day and that means our stores will be superbusy – the packs of FCBD special titles are all ready but they go very, very fast! And if you are in Glasgow another good reason to visit is to see bestselling Scottish crime novelist and comics scribe Denise Mina who will be in the store from 12 noon to 1pm signing her comics adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. Bestselling Scottish crime novelist and comics scribe Denise Mina will be in our Glasgow store on Buchanan Street (just across from the Underground, round the corner from Queen St station) on Saturday May 5th from 12 to 1pm to celebrate Free Comic Book Day, signing free copies of the preview of her comics adaptation of the hugely popular Swedish crime tale The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

A reminder for all Glasgow peeps, Charlie Adlard, the man who brings the brilliant Walking Dead comic to visual life, will be signing in our store in the city’s Buchanan Street (right by the Underground) tomorrow evening, Thursday February 23rd from 5 to 6pm, just as we are celebrating the return of the television incarnation of his and Kirkman’s Walking Dead to screens.
