I’ve been enjoying Irish Comic News’ Noodlers series of sketches from various Emerald Isle artists (you’re following it, right?), and I was especially taken with this rather fine Benedict Cumberbatch (swoon) as Sherlock sketch that the fine Tommie Kelly penned:

Tommie Kelley has posted up Soundmen, a cracking spoof drawing on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ seminal Watchmen. Made me laugh out loud, although it is not advisable for anyone who has issues with big blue willies.

Mongo, Music Critic

Andy Winter, author of the award-winning Hero Killers and Blood Psi has teamed up with Irish artist Tommie Kelly for a 4-page comic strip Mongo, Music Critic, which sees the arrival of a violent alien warlord who also happens to be a music journalist. Cue mayhem and satirical sideswipes at some much-beloved bands and genres; Mongo is available as a free 4-page, full colour dowloadable PDF from Moonface Press.
