Individual Shops in the Forbidden Planet (Scotland) (FPS) and Worlds Apart (WA) Retail Stores are now able to offer their Facebook Followers selected products for sale & supply by request.

When checking Facebook to find the latest posts from your favourite FP store, you’ll often find fully described products that are in stock at the store, with a link, and/or an image attached.

Can’t get to the Store but want one, then Click the link, and send a Private Message (PM) with an order request to the selected store.

(Sometimes you may be tempted to phone the Store, if so, remember that FPS/WA Stores are busy places, and may not be able to accept phone orders that day. A PM is usually faster)

A friendly FPS/ WA Staff Droid will answer your PM order request with details of the purchase available via a Paypal invoice along with shipping details & cost.

Required details for the Paypal invoice are:
Your Full Name, billing address, (include postcode) contact telephone number, email address, and shipping address (if different).

The requested good(s) will be held for seven days from submission of the Paypal invoice. If unpaid after seven days the request will be cancelled and the good(s) revert to shelf stock.

Each shop is individual and the products offered will vary dependent on stock levels and the Social Media capabilities of the selected store.

After confirmation of payment is received from Paypal, you will be notified when the order is securely packaged and shipped. Track & Trace information (if applicable) will be listed on request.

No Sales Contract is formed until despatch of goods. You must be 16 years or over to request & agree to pay for goods.

Please note that this is a one to one service for Facebook Followers of the retail shops of Forbidden Planet (Scotland) /Worlds Apart (FPS/WA) FPS/WA take their responsibilities for and to our Customers seriously. FPS/WA is a Retailer offering individual purchasers interesting items of Popular Culture. FPS/WA is NOT, and will not, be party to any orders or requests that utilise any of the following types or methods of business, including but not limited to, third party supply, marketplace, drop ship, forwarding, consolidation, reship, anonymous addresses including PO Boxes, multiple order aggregation, whether to single or multiple addresses, or any other similar type of operation. Accordingly, ALL orders that in the express opinion of FPS/WA constitute such an abuse of FPS/WA services will be summarily rejected and cancelled without redress. FPS/WA also reserves the right to impose further sanctions if required.

Acceptable use policy

FPS/ WA are committed to providing a safe working environment for employees & staff. It is policy not to tolerate any incidents of harassment however caused. You agree in all communications to comply with the spirit and letter of this policy.


Under the consumer contracts regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel and return the good(s) within 14 days of delivery. Under the regulation the Customer is responsible for all carriage return costs. The cancellation period expires 14 days after delivery.

Under the Consumer Rights act 2015 there is a 30 day right to reject the good(s) if they do not conform to contract. The burden of proof is on the Customer to show that the good(s) fail to conform.

Date of delivery is defined within these T&C as two days after date of despatch.

You must notify the store from which you made the purchase request, by Facebook PM, quoting your Paypal invoice number, and your details., that you wish to return the good(s) within the mandated time period.

Items should be returned in original packaging and in re-sellable condition.

Please note that the Consumer Contract Regs 2013 state that “if the value of the goods is diminished by any amount as the result of handling the goods by the Consumer beyond what is necessary to establish the nature character and functioning of the goods, the Trader may recover that amount from the Consumer up to the contract price”

“Handling” in this context is defined by the regulations as “that might be reasonably be allowed in a shop”

FPS/WA reserve the right of deduction under the regulations for any diminution of value as a result of Customer handling, use, health protection, or hygiene.

Limitation of Liability:

Please note that FPS/ WA shall only be liable to refund the Paypal account of the purchaser up to the amount paid for the good(s) returned, and where applicable, outbound postage.

FPS/WA and their staff are not liable for any other losses or compensation.

Please note that requests for replacement of, or reimbursement for, packaging, will not be accepted. If goods are replaced by request they may be re-sent in the original packaging.

Overseas Order requests are at the Store Manager’s discretion.

All order requests via Facebook, along with communications, invoicing, payments & shipments are subject to these Terms & Conditions.
